the kissing window

the people were just kissing so calmly for a while. they were a middle-aged couple. the way they sat and kissed was new to me. she sat on his lap facing him, obviously, and with her arms wrapped around his neck they kissed. it was so still. neither person seemed to move or even get excited much. it wasn't unenthusiastic though, you could tell they liked it.
