scottie. i tried to find your email with no luck. this is luke from nashville/chicago. i now live in amsterdam. today i painted a pair of shoes black. now my fingertips are black, and at first, when the paint was wet, the things i touched became marked black with the traces of my touching. then i remembered the installation you and your brother created in chicago with that exact concept. i remember an invisible game of cards with the traces of two friends who had played while drinking beer. i remember an empty frame on the wall with the traces of the one who hung it. there were other traces. but i remember those. i thought it was a great piece. hope you are well.
