food for thought

In whichever way you want to view society today, post-modern or the hyper-modern society, we are no longer infatuated with feudalism nor are we re-captivated again by subjective romanticism. Knowledge still holds power; but, since knowledge is constantly growing, we, today, are ceasing to place emphasis on the perfect present. Is this sort of behavior, in the age of information, equivalent to realisms attempt at emphasizing the struggles of the physical world?
